The Sun Records Collection [Rhino] Review. by Richie Unterberger. There have been a lot of Sun compilations over the years; this three-CD, song compilation strikes the medium ground between abridged single-disc highlights and overkill ten-album box sets. What this means is that you get virtually all the key sides of this vastly influential.

This is one of the best Sun Records compilations available. It's 2 discs packed full of a wide array of Sun's artists. Most of the greats are here (Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich, Johnny Cash, etc.), with ample tracks from each. I especially like that this collection includes Ike Turner and Jackie Brenston's "Rocket 88 /5(7).
